An overview of appropriate attire will be discussed to lay the foundation for our Trading Trends Fashion Show on February 19.

Developing Dynamite Resumes & Cover Letters
Wednesday, February 6, 2008 - 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Ignatius Room 107

The presentation will cover different types of resumes and how to develop a dynamite resume and cover letter.  We will also briefly discuss other job search credentials needed.

Interviewing Preparation
Thursday, February 14, 2008 - 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
ASC 212

This program will discuss a variety of topics to prepare the job interview.  We will discuss interview formats and questions, and proper attire.  Individual mock interviews can be scheduled at this time.

3rd Annual Trading Trends Fashion Show
Tuesday, February 19, 2008 - 6 PM
NTTC Auditorium - NOTE LOCATION  CHANGE

This program will demonstrate and discuss proper workplace attire.  We will cover the do's and dont's of professional dress.  Students will model different ensembles.

Job Searching Workshop
Tuesday, March 11, 2008 - 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This workshop covers information about how to conduct a comprehensive job search. 

Etiquette Dinner
Wednesday, March 12, 2008 - 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Troy Theater

This is a business dinner where proper etiquette and professional rules of conduct will be covered.  Cost: With meal plan $ TBA. Without meal plan $ TBA. Reservations are limited and must be made to the Career Development Center by TBA.

First Year on The Job

UOVCSC Job Fair
(Upper Ohio Valley Career Services Consortium)

Jobseekers DO NOT need to pre-register.

This event is free to students and alumni of the nine consortium member schools, which includes Wheeling Jesuit University. Individuals who are not students or alumni at any of the member institutions will be charged a $5 non-member entrance fee. Only candidates are permitted into the event. Guests and children will not be admitted.  All candidates must dress professionally and bring plenty of résumés to distribute to potential employers.  For additional information, go to www.collegecentral.com/uovcsc

Chance to win - One student's name will be drawn to receive a $300 gift certificate to a local clothing store to purchase professional interview attire. To be eligible to enter, the student must attend this event. The student's name must appear on the job fair sign-in sheet and he/she must present a résumé at the door. The student need not be present to win.
