Why Your Support Matters

33% of all students accepted at Wheeling Jesuit qualify for Pell Grants, which means their family’s annual income is less than $32,000. At other private universities in the US, just 12% of the student population receives Pell Grants.

For families who do not live in poverty, the challenge of financing a college education is also daunting. Wheeling Jesuit offers nearly $14 million annually in scholarships and institutional aid, or about $15,300 for each student.

That is why your contribution to Gaudiosa 2015 is so crucial to WJU’s mission -- to make a rigorous Jesuit education accessible to the students who need it most. Your support of student scholarships at Wheeling Jesuit is worth every penny.

A survey of our 2012 graduates revealed that 95% are currently working in a career or are enrolled in a graduate program that utilizes the undergraduate degree they earned at Wheeling Jesuit.

The graduates of the class of 2012 left Wheeling Jesuit with the same average debt as other college graduates, but because they secured high paying jobs upon graduation, the default rate among our alumni is just 6%. The national average is 24%.

Your support of Gaudiosa 2015 ensures that the value of a Wheeling Jesuit education is never overshadowed by its cost.
