In addition, notify the Health Center at 304-243-2275 if during normal business hours for follow-up purposes. If outside normal business hours, notify RA/AC. All RA/AC are certified in American Red Cross First Aid and CPR annually.

What is an emergency?
An emergency is any illness/injury that is acute and poses an immediate risk to a person's life- or long-term health. Examples include:

• Chest pain
• Shortness of breath
• Unexplained severe abdominal pain
• Seizures
• Fainting
• Uncontrolled bleeding
• Chemical burns or eye injuries
• Rape/Sexual Assault
• Alcohol/Drug Overdose
• Suicidal ideations or attempt
• Violent behavior
