Online Mental Health Resources for Students
Ulifeline is a web site developed by the Jed Foundation to promote mental health and to curb suicide in college students. Students can log on under their college (Go to: West Virginia, then click on Wheeling Jesuit University). The web site has information about various emotional disorders, as well as online screenings. Students are always directed back to their own college counseling center for further help. The web site is not a substitute for counseling, but rather can help a student decide if further counseling might be necessary or helpful. To experience Ulifeline, go to the following link and log on: http://www.ulifeline.com The Counseling Center Village is a resource for college counselors. It contains a section called the Virtual Pamphlet Collection. Here you can find pamphlets from college counseling centers across the country on just about any topic. Once again, this is not a substitute for face-to-face counseling, but it is a great resource of accurate, useful information. http://www.student-affairs.buffalo.edu/shs/ccenter/ Other On-line Mental Health Resources
