Media Services

The Media Services Department at WJU is an arm of the ITS. Its principle function is to provide audio/visual support for classroom learning, as well as for other academic and extra-curricular activities on campus. In addition to the distribution of multimedia equipment, other services included under this rubric are videotaping of requested events, assisting students with videotape projects for classes, and maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.

Assistance
If you require a complex set-up such as a computer projection system, please make an appointment to test the equipment prior to your presentation to make sure the equipment performs to your expectations.

We can provide students with services as long as the use is course-related and approved by an instructor. Because the equipment is checked out to the instructor and is his/her resposibility, an instructor's approval is required before a student can borrow the equipment.

Set-up and delivery of audio/visual equipment for University

Training and Support for Multimedia rooms and other audio visual equipment

Videotape duplication of non-copyright protected material

Videotaping of University events

Audio/Visual Equipment
The Media Services Department supplies audio/visual equipment to any classroom on campus. Our standard equipment includes:

TV/DVD/VCR combos
Overhead Projectors
Document Cameras
Transparency projectors

Our limited availability equipment includes:

3 Multimedia Computer Carts
1 CD/Cassette Player
2 Easels
3 Portable Projections Screens
2 Cybershot cameras
3 portable webcams
1 Flip camera

Please make all Media Services requests at least 24 hours in advance! If you wait until the last minute, the Media Services Department may not be able to meet your request due to lack of equipment.

Please let us know if you have any problems with any equipment in your classrooms. If we don't know it's broken, we can't fix it.
