Foundation Center
The Bishop Hodges Library is a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center. As a member of this nationwide network of libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit agencies, the Library provides visitors with free public access to grantmaker directories, books on fundraising and nonprofit management, and the Foundation Center’s electronic database, The Foundation Directory Online. The fully searchable database includes detailed profiles of all active U.S. foundations, as well as an extensive file of recent grants awarded by the nation’s top funders. The Foundation Grants to Indiviudals Online allows users to search through detailed descriptions of more than 6,000 foundation and public charity programs that fund students, artists, researchers, and other individual grantseekers. This unique online database the only one devoted exclusively to the needs of individuals is convenient and easy to use! Within seconds you can generate your own list of prospective funders.Access to the Foundation Center's electronic databases, The Foundation Directory Online Professional and Foundation Grants to Individuals Online, is available in the Bishop Hodges Library only, by using one of the two computer terminals located next to the entrance and newspaper rack.
