ACS Publications (Link to Database – On-campus/Off-campus) - Access to indexing, abstracting, full text for American Chemical Society (ACS) Publications.

Access Science (Link to Database – On-campus/Off-campus) - A collection of science reference materials—online and fully searchable. Offers easy accessibility research information — access to articles, fully illustrated, from the latest edition of the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology, Research Updates from the McGraw-Hill Yearbooks, thousands of illustrations, and the latest Science News® headlines, biographies, and more. 

Medline (Link to Database – On-campus/Off-campus) - MEDLINE provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE allows users to search abstracts from over 4,600 current biomedical journals.

Annual Reviews (Link to Database – On-campus/Off-campus) - comprehensive, timely collections of critical reviews written by leading scientists. Annual Reviews volumes are published each year for 30 focused disciplines within the Biomedical, Physical, and Social Sciences.

Academic Search Elite (Link to Database – On-campus/Off-campus) - provides full text for more than 2,050 publications, including more than 1,500 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to the full text, indexing and abstracts are provided for all 3,468 journals in the collection. This database offers information in nearly every area of academic study including: social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, ethnic studies and more.

Protein Data Bank – "A worldwide repository for the processing and distribution of 3-D biological macromolecular structure data."

WebElements – The professional version offers an interactive version of the periodic table.

ChemIDPlus  -  National Library of Medicine databases on chemical safety and toxicity, search by structure or other identifying chemical information.

International Chemical Safety Cards (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health - International Programme on Chemical Safety) provides indexes for searching on chemicals by name, synonym, CAS Registry Number, and EC/European Inventory of Existing Commercial Substances (EINECS) Numbers. 

NIOSH Pocket Guide to Chemical Hazards (CDC/U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) – "Source of general industrial hygiene information on several hundred chemical/classes for workers, employers, and occupational health professionals….presents key information and data in abbreviated or tabular form for chemicals or substance groupings … that are found in the work environment."

SCIENCE.GOV – "Public access and a unified search of the government’s vast stores of scientific and technical information."

American Chemical Society - "A congressionally chartered independent membership orgainization which represents professionals at all degree levels in all fields of chemistry and sciences that involve chemistry."

Linus Pauling research notebooks - "Pauling Papers holdings include forty-six research notebooks spanning the years of 1922 to 1994 and covering any number of the scientific fields in which Dr. Pauling involved himself...the notebooks contain many of Pauling's laboratory calculations and experimental data, as well as scientific conclusions, ideas for further research and numerous autobiographical musings."

Hazardous substances data bank (HSDB) - "HSDB is a toxicology data file on the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) Toxicology Data Network (TOXNET). It focuses on the toxicology of potentially hazardous chemicals. It is enhanced with information on human exposure, industrial hygiene, emergency handling procedures, environmental fate, regulatory requirements, and realted areas. All data are referenced and derived from a core set of books, government documents, technical reports and selected primary journals literature."
