Wheeling Jesuit named best ‘Hidden Gem’ in West Virginia for fourth straight year

Wheeling Jesuit University (WJU) has been named the best Hidden Gem institution in West Virginia by College Raptor. WJU was also chosen by the college ranking service as a Hidden Northeast Gem this year.

This marks the fourth year Wheeling Jesuit has been chosen as the top institution in West Virginia by College Raptor.

“Wheeling Jesuit University provides incredible opportunities to students across the region. The commitment by the faculty and staff to provide attention to every student's experience is what makes WJU a special place,” said Sean Doyle, vice president of enrollment and marketing.

Doyle added, “Our students graduate and are prepared for success in not only their fields of study but in giving back to their communities. We are most proud of their continued achievements, and we are honored to be recognized for the efforts of our faculty and staff."

Additionally, WJU was selected as a Hidden Northeast Gem, a ranking which highlights beautiful landscapes, bountiful industry, and storied history which fill the Northeastern region of the United States.

“Finding hidden gems for students is core to how we help students and families discover great college choices. That’s why we love putting out our Hidden Gems lists each year to highlight excellent schools like Wheeling Jesuit,” said Bill Staib, CEO of College Raptor.

Wheeling Jesuit University is one of 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the country offering more than 30 undergraduate programs of study and five graduate degrees.
