Concentration – If your major is not one of the Wheeling Jesuit University’s 10 concentrations, during your  transcript analysis you will be advised to seek certification in a teaching field most closely aligned your original major, and then to continue with additional fields after finding teaching employment. Completion may take longer for participants who need additional course work in their chosen concentration.

Praxis - Candidates who do not pass either of the Praxis assessments may be admitted on a “provisional” basis and may be required to take appropriate coursework in the area of the deficiency until those exams are passed.

Full admission into the ACT program requires your personal AAP be on file. Your AAP cannot be formalized without the receipt of official transcripts and official Praxis scores. Occasionally, candidates may be admitted to the ACT program on a “provisional” or “temporary” basis providing space is available.
