Initial licensure in West Virginia costs $49. This fee includes $24 for the FBI fingerprint check, $10 for the state fingerprint check, and a $15 application processing fee. If an applicant was licensed by the West Virginia Department of Education prior to January 1, 2002, subsequent applications cost $15. These fees are nonrefundable.  Checks or money orders (no cash, please) shall be made payable to the West Virginia Department of Education.
