Transcript Services

Per Federal law, transcripts are only released with the written consent of the student. We cannot accept transcript requests made over the telephone or through e-mail. All requests must be submitted in writing and bear the signature of the student.

Transcripts, official or unofficial, will not be released for students whose financial obligations to the University have not been satisfied. Please contact the Student Accounts Office at 304.243.2223 to resolve any financial obligations.

Official transcripts (paid by cash or check) bear a per copy fee of $7 for each transcript. These transcripts bear the embossed University seal along with the Registrar's signature and are issued in a sealed envelope which should be sent directly from the Registrar to the intended recipient. Many institutions will not consider a transcript official unless it is sent directly to them from the Registrar's Office. Official transcripts, issued directly to the student, are marked as such and sealed in an envelope. Opening the sealed transcripts will void the official nature of the transcript. Official transcripts cannot be faxed.


Unofficial transcripts are available free of charge and may be faxed or mailed; however, written and signed authorization is still required. Current students may access unofficial transcripts through the Academus On-Line System.

 

 

Processing Time:

However, during peak time for our office (the beginning/end of each semester and graduations), processing times may change and cannot be guaranteed.


Normal processing time for transcripts may take up to 3-5 business days.


Please be sure to note if your request has a time-sensitive nature.

 

 

Payment Options and Additional Information: 

Please make checks or money orders payable to Wheeling Jesuit University.

When paying by Credit/Debit Card, students and alumni should request transcripts through the National Student Clearinghouse.

Immediate/on-the-spot transcript requests will be completed at an additional cost of $5 per transcript.

Transcripts may be picked up in person at the Registrar's Office, with a valid photo ID.

Faster mailing options (overnight/next day delivery) are available if needed. Such services bear additional costs; please contact us for more information.
