Any member of the University Community (student, faculty, administrator, staff) who becomes aware of an individual who is struggling with a personal crisis should refer that individual to the appropriate resource on campus. Following is a list of resources and the types of situations to be referred to each.

Emergencies occurring between the hours of 5 PM and 8:30 AM should be handled in the following way:
Emergency in residence hall - Notify RA/AC who will notify Campus Safety & Security and the Director for Residence Life & Judicial Programs who will notify the V.P. for Student Affairs. Campus Safety & Security will notify the Health Center(if needed).
Mental Health Emergencies between the hours of 5:00 pm and 8:30 am or on weekends can be referred to the Hillcrest Mental Health Help Line at 243-8887. Emergency mental health evaluations can be obtained at Hillcrest-OVMC by going through the EMSTAR Emergency Room.
