General Information Flow in Emergency Situations

IF AN INDIVIDUAL IN THE INFORMATION FLOW CAN'T BE REACHED, NOTIFY THE INDIVIDUAL AT THE NEXT LEVEL OF THE PROCESS.

I. When resident student notices an emergency situation, he/she should notify an RA or Residence Director (AC).

A. RA or AC notifies police/fire (if appropriate), Campus Safety and Security, and Director for Residence Life & Judicial Programs.

B. Safety & Security notifies Physical Plant.

C. Director for Residence Life & Judicial Programs notifies Vice President for Student Affairs.

II. When non-resident student, faculty member, administrator, or staff member notices an emergency situation, he/she should:

A. Notify police/fire (if appropriate) and, Campus Safety and Security.

B. Campus Safety & Security will notify Physical Plant and Vice President for Student Affairs.

III. When notified of an emergency situation, the Vice President for Student Affairs will notify the appropriate executives:

A. University President

B. Senior Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs

C. Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

D. Vice President for University Relations

E. Vice President for Advancement

F. Jesuit Residence

IV. University President notifies:

A. Board of Directors (if necessary)

V. In emergency situations the Vice President for Student Affairs will contact the University President to convene the Executive Committee.
