What is there to do on campus?
Wheeling Jesuit's pledge to produce well-rounded graduates demands that we place an emphasis on social and cultural activities. Each year at WJU, a myriad of student organizations provides more than 350 activities for students. There are several clubs and organizations students can participate in as well as events planned by the Campus Activities Board happening every week.
What service opportunities are available to students
Service is one of the core values of a Jesuit education so there is always an opportunity to volunteer.

- WJU Students performed more than 23,000 hours of Community Service (including over 4,200 hours by student-athletes)
- Service programs include International Service Immersion Trips
- WJU has been named to the 2013 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).
How can I contact a student at WJU with questions concerning the school?

How much does each student housing choice cost?
Housing costs are based on what building you live in and whether you live in a double or single room. Costs tend to fluctuate from year to year so check out the tuition and fee's page for the latest prices.
What are the library hours?
The library is open until midnight during the week. During finals week the library is opened 24 hours. Check out the library's website for special hours.
What type of computer labs does WJU have?
There are several computer labs around campus. Each dorm building has a lab as well as the library, two labs in the Acker Science Center and a writing computer lab in Donahue Hall. Check out the ITS page for more information about the WJU computer labs.
Would I be able to be employed for work at WJU?
Yes! There are regular postings for work study positions from our student financial planning department.
What makes a Jesuit education?
The purpose of Jesuit education is to produce students who can contribute intelligently and effectively to the welfare of society because they are competent and virtuous. A Wheeling Jesuit education is a liberal arts education that focuses on the whole person, gives the students a solid foundation in many subjects, which builds written and verbal communication skills, and shows how knowledge is interconnected and teaching the student to think for him or herself.
Are freshman permitted to have cars on campus?
Yes! WJU offers ample parking to all students.
Does WJU offer Fraternities and Sororities?
No. To encourage the sense of community at WJU there are no Fraternities and Sororities on campus.
May students have private rooms?
Yes! Students may have a private room depending on yearly availability.
Is Campus Ministry active on campus?
Yes! Campus Ministry offers to all members of the WJU community opportunities for spiritual growth. While open to all religious traditions, particular focus is placed on developing a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ in light of the Ignatian experience of the Catholic Christian tradition. Campus Ministry reaches out through bible study and faith sharing, retreats, spiritual & social programs, liturgical ministry & music, worship & reconciliation services, ecumenical & interfaith programs, and active community service.
What kinds of Athletic Programs are offered?
WJU offers 20 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's teams including: Men's and Womens Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Swimming, Track and Field, Lacrosse, Women's Volleyball and Softball, Men's Baseball, Ice Hockey, Wrestling, and Rugby. With 67 championships and more than 50+ Academic All-Americans, our victories take place on the field and in the classroom.
Students who do not participate in intercollegiate sports have the opportunity to take part in several club and intramural sports including football, volleyball, basketball and ice hockey. Check out the Athletic Website for more information.
Are Athletic Scholarships offered?
Yes! Athletic Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the coach.
