Wheeling Jesuit men's basketball to face West Virginia Wesleyan in MEC tournament

The men's basketball team at Wheeling Jesuit University is preparing to face No. 8 West Virginia Wesleyan in the first round of the Mountain East Conference (MEC) tournament tomorrow, March 6, at 8:15 p.m. at WesBanco Arena in downtown Wheeling. The Cardinals earned the No. 9 seed in the MEC tournament rankings. The team finished 8-20 overall, 7-15 in the MEC.

If they win on Wednesday night, the Cardinals will face No. 1 seed West Liberty in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 8, at 6 p.m. All games -- first round, quarterfinals, semifinals and the championship -- will be played at WesBanco Arena. 

The semifinals will be played on Saturday, March 9, and the championship game will be played on Sunday, March 10.
