The Appalachian Institute at Wheeling Jesuit University will be featured in a new documentary film called APEX (for Appalachian Experience) which is being produced through an immersion partnership with St. Joseph's University (SJU) in Philadelphia.

Over the past four years, a group at St. Joseph's University has been assembling, producing and editing footage for the documentary. Tom Breiding, coordinator of immersion trips, as well as the University and its students will be featured throughout the course of the film.

Fr. Rich McCouch, S.J., and director of the Appalachian Institute, will travel to St. Joseph's University for the screening premiere at the Cardinal Foley Center at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19. He will also be working with the film's producer, Matt Fullmer, to coordinate a screening to be shown at Wheeling Jesuit University for the upcoming fall semester.

"In addition to the importance of this film as a fruit of labors locally, it also highlights how all of the schools in the Association of Jesuit Colleges & Universities (AJCU) can use their resources to work together," said Fr. McCouch.
