On Wednesday April 24th, the"Celebrate Appalachia!" event will take place on the Wheeling Jesuit campus with a dinner featuring local dishes, crafts, while guests can enjoy the music of local musical bands. "Crandall Creek" a high- energy bluegrass band out of Moundsville WV as well as "Bill Gorby & The Musical Mercenaries", an eclectic array of Americana music with roots in folk, bluegrass, classic and modern tunes out of Raymond OH, will also perform. A display of Quilts sponsored by the Seams Sewed Snugly Guild based in Moundsville will be showcased during the festivities. Many of the quilts date back over 100 years and are fine examples of local craft.

The Festivities will take place in the Benedum Room, Swint Hall, from 4:45 - 7:30 p.m. The occasion will also mark our celebration of Earth Day.
